In recent years instructors across CUNY have been developing courses primarily and exclusively using open educational resources (OER) for course content. As part of these efforts, and with support from The NEH Office of Digital Humanities and The State of New York/The CUNY Office of Library Services, GC Digital Initiatives and the Teaching and Learning Center will host the Open Education & Publishing Institute from June 13-16, 2022.

During the Institute, ten Faculty Fellows from across CUNY will create, design, and implement an Open Educational Resource (OER) and/or an OER course built on CUNY’s open source platforms, the CUNY Academic Commons or Manifold. The Open Educational Resource or the OER/ZTC course that Fellows develop will serve as models for future faculty who are interested in developing OER and teaching with open-source, digital platforms.
